by Dawn Hegland on November 3rd, 2011

Staff have been working on the Minnesota Intelligent Rural Communities (MIRC) project for eighteen months. Seven demonstration projects in the region have been funded to implement broadband strategies. An overview and status of each project can be viewed here.

Jacki and Dawn have recently been sharing our success stories at the Minnesota American Planning Association Conference, a Blandin webinar, and will be presenting at the upcoming Blandin Broadband Conference. You can view the UMVRDC’s MIRC presentation right here.

We will continue to share updates with you as the project continues. For more information on MIRC, visit this MIRC page on our website or contact Dawn Hegland at 320-289-1981 ext. 1 or dawn.hegland@umvrdc.org or Jacki Anderson at 320-289-1981 ext. 2 or jacki.anderson@umvrdc.org.
