Farmers Market Funding Available

by Melissa on March 8th, 2018

Who in your community is planning your local farmers market?

Let them know they can sign up for Market Bucks through Hunger Solutions to help provide local products to eligible local families!

What is Market Bucks?
Market Bucks is a state program to match SNAP-EBT customer’s dollars (up to $10 per visit) at participating Farmers Markets across Minnesota. In order to participate, a farmers market must:
• Have an FNS # and functioning equipment to accept EBT cards at the market
• Have at least 3 vendors selling SNAP-eligible foods
• Sign up for the program through Hunger Solutions

Now is the time to get signed up for Summer Market Bucks 2018!

Remember that you must have a current FNS# and functioning equipment to accept EBT cards at your market. You can fill out your application here:

Once they have received your application, you will get a notice that includes the administrative grant proposal. Then, once they have approved your application for Market Bucks, they will notify you and send the MOU to sign, along with a request for ACH information (if different or new for this year), and the number of Market Bucks and Outreach materials you want for your program.

If you have any questions, please contact Patti Whitney-Wise, Program Manager at or 651-789-9850.
