$4 Million in DEED Redevelopment Grant and Demolition Loan Funds available for February 2020 Grant Round

Posted by Melissa Streich | November 21, 2019

Please join the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for an informational webinar on December 5, 2019 to learn more about the Redevelopment Grant and Demolition Loan Programs. DEED will have $4 million of Redevelopment Grant funding available for the February 2020 grant round.

The webinar will provide valuable information about the Redevelopment Grant Program and Demolition Loan Program, including eligible applicants and activities, and projects that will compete well for grant or loan funds.

Redevelopment Grant funds assist with the cost of demolition and abatement; as well as other project-related improvements, such as soil stabilization and site preparation related infrastructure that is necessary for redeveloping blighted property.

Demolition Loan funds help public entities demolish and abate blighted structures in order to eliminate a public safety threat and prepare the site for potential future development.

An overview of the programs is available at Redevelopment Grant Program, and Demolition Loan Program along with applications, forms and instructions.

The deadline for applying for the next round of funding is 4 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020.
