7th Annual Meander a Success

Posted by viadmin | November 5, 2010

The 2010 Meander Upper Minnesota River Art Crawl was held the weekend of October 1-3rd, and it was once again a great success for the region. It was a weekend of lovely fall weather, wonderful art, and having the opportunity to see the artists of our region up close and personal.
This was the seventh annual Meander, and according to many of the artists, this year was even better than last year. The weekend was well attended, and artists reported that they had visitors from all over the state as well as neighboring states. Many also reported an increase in both visitors and art sales. The economic impact numbers are still being tabulated, and once they are available they will be posted on our website.
For more information on the Meander, see the Meander page here on our website, visit the Meander website or call Kristi Fernholz, Meander coordinator, at 320-289-1981.

Tamara Isfeld works on a painting during Meander at Java River in Montevideo.
Mary Taffe's light-hearted "Sadie" sculpture greets visitors at her home studio in Ortonville.
Audrey Arner and Richard Handeen sell handthrown pottery and local foods from the carriage house at Moonstone Farm near Montevideo.
