I joined the UMVRDC as the Community Development Specialist in February 2022. I grew up on a small farm in northern Iowa and have a Bachelor of Science degree in Community and Regional Planning from Iowa State University. Upon graduating from ISU, I was a regional planner in western Iowa at a similar organization until moving to Minnesota in 2008. Upon arrival in Minnesota, I helped with the construction of our family home and became a stay-at-home dad after the birth of our third child. My wife and I, along with our three children, reside in Alexandria, where our children keep us very busy with their activities. I enjoy spending time with my family, going to our children’s events, watching Iowa State basketball and football games, biking, fishing, and being outdoors. I am excited to be a part of the UMVRDC team and look forward to serving the region.
