2019 UMVRDC Annual Tour

Posted by Melissa Streich | July 19, 2019

Annual Meeting Schedule

Each year the Commission, on the afternoon of our annual meeting, takes a tour in part of the region to see and learn about the work that our agency does. Our tour this year will gather at 12:30pm at the Graceville City Hall will feature a variety of projects the RDC has been involved with in the Graceville, Clinton and Beardsley area.  We will visit UMVRDC Revolving Loan Fund recipients Jamers 1 Stop in Clinton and Headquarters Bar & Grill in Graceville; we will hear about how the UMVRDC secured funds from DEED Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) in all three communities and we will see and hear about both commercial and residential buildings that have been improved with these funds;  we will also have a chance to hear from the cities about a variety of issues and improvements they are working on including rental ordinances and infrastructure funding. Finally, we will hear from some Big Stone County residents and business owners about the impact of the border to border fiber project that the UMVRDC helped secure for the county. Join us on our tour bus and celebrate small town success stories!
