Last year, over forty schools across Minnesota participated in Bike to School Day in 2015 – and they can be great resources for you and your community! The National Center for SRTS has a Minnesota-specific summary of 2015 Bike to School Day activities including contact information for our local schools that planned and implemented them. Examples include bike rodeos, free breakfast for participants, raffle prizes, drop-off zones for kids to bike to school, bike rides with parent chaperons, bike maintenance clinics, free healthy snacks, high-visibility t-shirt giveaways, bike swap, videos of the students biking, and more. Peruse the list for ideas, and reach out a Minnesota community that inspires you for 2016!
