The Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission assisted the City of Granite Falls with an application to the Federal Recreational Trail Program for renovation of the pedestrian bridge in Granite Falls. Renovation of this bridge is important because of the connectivity it provides between the east and west sides of Granite Falls, as well as its historical signifigance.
Award announcements are expected in June 2011.
