People for Bikes Grant

Posted by Melissa Streich | July 18, 2016

PeopleForBikes Grants of up to $10,000 are intended for bicycle infrastructure projects that make it easier and safer for people of all ages and abilities to ride.
The link below will give you more details on what they fund but it is typically:
• Bike paths, lanes, trails, and bridges
• Mountain bike facilities
• Bike parks and pump tracks
• BMX facilities
• End-of-trip facilities such as bike racks, bike parking, and bike storage
• Initiatives designed to increase ridership or the investment in bicycle infrastructure

This may be a great opportunity for some of you to get funding for a smaller project. Be aware that the grant requires a minimum 50% match and a letter of intent (LOI) is due on July 29th.
