Small Cities in the Region Will Be Going Online

Posted by viadmin | August 26, 2011

Two of the small cities in our region will be going online with city websites, with the assistance of the UMVRDC. Both Echo and Bellingham received funds through the Minnesota Intelligent Rural Communities (MIRC) grant to create websites.

The City of Echo is working with UMVRDC Senior Planner Kristi Fernholz to complete a GovOffice website. Their site will consist of at least 20 pages and will incorporate information about local businesses.
The City of Bellingham is working with UMVRDC Planner Jenifer Fadness to complete a website using the WordPress Content Management System. Bellingham’s site is very timely, as the city plans for their 125th anniversary in the summer of 2012.

If your small city is interested in having a website, the UMVRDC is here to help! We have several options that make getting online affordable. For more information, contact Kristi Fernholz at 320-289-1981 ext. 6 or kristi.fernholz@umvrdc.org or Jenifer Fadness at 320-289-1981 ext. 5 or jenifer.fadness@umvrdc.org. For more about the MIRC program, click here to view the MIRC page on our website.
