Strategic Planning Helps Granite Falls Riverfront Revitalization Identify Priorities

Posted by viadmin | May 10, 2011

We recently told you about the strategic planning work we are doing in Granite Falls. That project has come to an end, with a final presentation being made to the Granite Falls Economic Development Authority (EDA) and interested community groups and individuals.
A total of 68 community development ideas were gathered and prioritized. RDC staff helped identify potential funding sources for the top ten projects in the final report prepared for the Granite Falls EDA. The community already had great ideas; the goal of the strategic planning process was to give them focus and outline the next steps.
β€œIt will be up to community to keep the momentum and move forward with the projects they are most passionate about – they have a lot of enthusiasm in Granite Falls and I expect great things to come!” said Senior Planner Jacki Anderson.
For more information about the presentation, read this article in the The Granite Falls Advocate Tribune.
